Real-Time Ultrasound

Real Time UltrasoundThe use of ultrasound (sound waves) is highly beneficial in the management of chronic low back pain and pelvic floor muscle re-eduation. Patients can visually see muscle/s that often through pain and other factors are not contracting in an appropriate manner. This in turn allows the development of an appropriate corrective exercise regime.

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

Formerly known as RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) this often disabling condition now has a variety of new management approaches based on the latest cortical retraining techniques. Rowville Physiotherapy has been at the forefront of many of the latest techniques such as Graded Motor Imagery (GMI) for CRPS management.

Clinical Pilates Classes at Rowville

As the Rowville Clinical Pilates classes will be conducted by a physiotherapist it has the opportunity to have more of a clinical focus than just Fitness Pilates. This means the class can be tailored more specifically to your individual needs. It requires each new participant to our classes to undergo a pre-pilates class screen in the Rowville Physio. We also keep our class sizes small. Clinical Pilates exercise is suitable for everybody & anybody, ranging from teenagers to elderly, from dancers to footballers. Our class is open to everyone..

Our classes are split into three levels to accomodate for all degrees of pilates ability. We ask all people new to pilates at Rowville Physiotherapy to come in for a pre-pilates screen with a physiotherapist at our clinic. This price is charged at our follow up rate under the 505 code. The pre-pilates screen is essential for minimising the risk and maximising the benefits of clinical pilates.
